Getting into a new routine with Body Detoxification, cleaning out your system after a binge weekend (we’ve all had those) and starting a new eating regime are things many of us want to do. Even when quitting smoking or drinking, or candy, people want to learn how to detoxify their system once they start so they feel as though they have a fresh slate.
Some do it because they feel backed up and they just don’t feel right or have been having dietary issues, so they want to start again and clean out their system so that they can start from scratch and really learn what the issue is.
As a result, many people turn to and google detoxification and how to detox the body. But what do you come up with? Is it even really a possibility? What are the steps to doing so? Celebrities do it all the time, or claim to, and it seems to help them so how can it help the average Joe to become healthier.
What exactly is Body Detoxification?
Depending on who you ask some will say it’s not even a possibility or a reality, that if we really needed to do so than our bodies are not functioning correctly. But even if that is the case, wouldn’t you want to try? It’s sometimes called the placebo effect. If you believe in something enough, and go through with it passionately, than your body will react to it appropriately. It’s been seen with sugar pills for anxiety and depression. People in double blind studies don’t know what they are being given but yet they still have positive results, even though they were given no actual medication.
Detoxification is really a way to start cleaning out your body of the toxins that you have accumulated from eating poorly, or drinking, or smoking, or whatever your vice may be, or you might just want to lose weight. Whatever the case may be, it’s made to make you feel better.
Now there is also detoxification from drugs, which is a completely different avenue to discuss. Many people have to go into a rehab center to detox from this kind of vice because withdrawal symptoms can potentially kill a person. It can be that severe depending on how much you have done, what you have done, etc. Imagine having to detox from a pain medicine, or a depression medicine.
They specifically state not to do it unless under the supervision of a doctor because it can lead to serious health concerns. But that is not something to discuss here. If that is an issue you are having I highly recommend seeking professional help for that.
How to detox your body
There are many detox’s on the market today. One of the easiest and I would say the cheapest ways at this point would be to literally cut everything bad out of your diet. When I say bad I mean processed foods, non-organic foods, foods that have chemicals in them. So if it’s boxed pretty much, don’t touch them during this time period.
Another method to detox the body is by exercising, meditating, and taking hot Epsom salt baths, the latter probably being my favorite. But working out causes your body to sweat which helps to remove toxins that way, and can result in clearer skin. Mediating helps to reduce stress (which is definitely toxic to your health) and Epsom salt baths also deal with sweating and have nutrients in it that are absorbed into the skin for healing purposes )I highly recommend Dr. Teals Epsom Salt Baths.
Also drink water. Water is such a key element to keeping a body healthy and free from toxins. When you drink a fresh cool glass of water, your body thanks you. Plus it helps you to excrete toxins naturally too and replenish them with freshness. In addition to drinking water you can juice with all organic fruits and vegetables, which is a great way to introduce the vitamins and minerals that they have to offer quickly and in a highly absorbable fashion.
In a nutshell, detoxification of the body is all about changing everything up in order to produce a healthier person as a whole. The idea is to introduce all good things into the body and help rid it of the negatives such as pesticides and processed foods, and sugars.
Meditation and hot baths can help not only the body but also the mind as well and the soul. Taking a break for peace is always something to consider because it’s not hard to do. So if you are looking to start something new, start with a simple detox, and start small and work your way up. Every little bit counts.
